Gerry Reynolds (British politician)

Gerald William Reynolds (17 July 1927 – 7 June 1969), known as Gerry Reynolds was a British Labour Party politician.
Reynolds was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Islington North in a 1958 by-election following the death of the sitting MP Wilfred Fienburgh. He was re-elected the following year at the 1959 general election, and at two further general elections.
In the Wilson government of the 1960s he was Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Army from 1964 to 1965, then for two years Minister of Defence (Army). His final post at the Ministry of Defence from 1967 to 1969 was Minister of Defence (Administration).
After his death in 1969 at the age of 41, the consequent by-election in Islington North was won by the Labour candidate Michael O'Halloran.
